As event planning in 2020 was a little difficult due to Covid, it was decided that this year the Lake Macquarie Environmental Excellence in Landcare Awards would proceed in a digital capacity. A Landcarer who has made a regular and colossal contribution for more than 2 years and who:
- works regularly on their project
- motivates their group
- implements best practice natural resource management shares their knowledge and experiences

Community Education Award
A Landcarer who spreads the Landcare ethic within the general community by:
- Raising awareness within the general community of natural resource management and the Landcare ethic
- Utilising various media to raise awareness e.g. booklets, newsletters, social media, Progress Association meetings, school projects, field days.

A Landcarer whose dedication to Landcare is an inspiration to everyone and who:
- Undertakes a special achievement during the last twelve months
